Precision Modular Vise is a high-end fixture system widely used in modern CNC machining centers, especially in multi station and high-efficiency production scenarios. It breaks through the limitations of traditional flat pliers through modular design and high-precision positioning, and can be flexibly combined and quickly reconstructed to meet the clamping needs of complex workpieces, significantly improving machining efficiency and accuracy.
Core features and advantages
1. Modular design (core value)
It consists of standardized modules such as basic clamp body, movable clamp, fixed clamp, intermediate connecting block, and positioning key.
According to the size, shape, and processing requirements of the workpiece, it can be freely combined into:
Single clamp body (small workpiece)
Same direction series connection (clamping long strip workpieces)
Parallel connection in opposite directions (clamping square/frame shaped workpieces to prevent deformation)
Multi station array (simultaneously clamping multiple workpieces)
Alien combination (building complex structures through angle modules)

2. Ultra high repeatability positioning accuracy
Precision positioning key system (such as Hirth gear plate, double cylindrical pin): When connecting modules, it achieves a repeated positioning accuracy of μ m level (usually ≤± 0.01mm).
Avoid cumulative errors caused by repeated disassembly and assembly of traditional fixtures.
3. High rigidity and vibration resistance
Made of integral cast iron or alloy steel, the rigidity far exceeds that of ordinary flat pliers on the market.
The composite structure is optimized through mechanics to disperse clamping force and reduce machining vibration.
4. Quick changeover and flexible production
When replacing the workpiece, only the module needs to be adjusted/replaced, without disassembling the entire fixture.
Combined with zero point quick change systems (such as 3R, EROWA), tooling switching can be completed within a few minutes.
5. Multi functional scalability
It can integrate pneumatic/hydraulic automatic clamping, sensor feedback, and rotation module (fourth axis linkage).
Support customized jaws (V-shaped, serrated, soft claws, etc.).
Key Selection and Technical Parameters
1. Accuracy level:
Repetitive positioning accuracy: ± 0.005mm~± 0.02mm
Parallelism/Verticality: ≤ 0.01mm/100mm
2. Rigid index:
Static clamping force (usually ≥ 30kN)
Dynamic anti vibration frequency (to match the spindle speed of the machine tool)
3. Module compatibility:
Confirm whether the modules within the brand can be cross series universal
Positioning key type (Hirth gear>Double cylindrical pin>Single key slot)
4. Automation support:
Is there a reserved gas/liquid interface
Integration capability with robot claw changing system
Precautions for use
1. Basic installation:
It is necessary to use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts of the foundation clamp body in sequence, ensuring full contact with the machine tool worktable.
2. Module assembly:
Clean the positioning surface → insert the positioning key → lightly tap the module into place → cross tighten the connecting bolts (to avoid deformation caused by over tightening).
3. Maintenance points:
Regularly clean the T-shaped groove debris and check the wear of the positioning key (if the wear is greater than 0.003mm, it needs to be replaced).
Apply specialized lubricating grease (such as Molykote P40) to the sliding parts.
4. Clamping technique:
When connecting long workpieces in series, the clamping force should increase from the middle to both ends to prevent "arching deformation".
Thin workpieces need to be clamped in opposite directions with equal height pads to ensure even force distribution.
